This stunning Hamsa pendant, with its aqua color scheme is a hand-made creation of the renowned Israeli artist Ester Shahaf. The Hamsa is a perfect example of Ester Shahaf's ability to effortlessly combine eastern and western cultures. Shahaf took the eastern Hamsa, an amulet believed to protect the wearer from the evil eye and negative forces, and used western decorations such as Swarovski crystals and beads on an enamel paint background to create a breath-taking piece.
Ester Shahaf graduated from Tel Aviv University, where she learnt theatre and costume design. She uses her professional background and personal life, such as the idyllic hometown of Binyamina and the multi-cultural Israeli experience to create stunning hand-crafted pieces that are displayed and sold in both the United States and Israel.
