Oriental Hamsa Earrings by Ester Shahaf

These distinctive Hamsa Earrings, hand-made by Israeli artist Ester Shahaf incorporate a number of amulets believed to protect from negative forces and the evil eye. The Hamsa hand shape is an ancient amulet believed to protect from the evil eye. Shemesh also desgined these earrings to include an eye, which often adorns the Hamsa, due to the protection against the evil eye. Additionally, the color red features, a color believed to ward off negativity. These sterling silver earrings, decorated with Swarovski crystals, beads and copper and brass accents, are deeply symbolic as well as very attractive; a beautiful addition to any outfit. Ester Shahaf is an acclaimed Israeli artist who holds a degree in theater and costume design from Tel Aviv University. She lives in Binyamina, Israel and draws inspiration from the Israeli multi-cultural experience.
