Oriental Hamsa Hand by Iris Shemesh

This stunning Oriental Hamsa Hand was hand-made by Iris Shemesh. The Hamsa is a traditional Middle-Eastern symbol believed to ward off negative forces including the evil-eye. Iris Shemesh uses designs to decorate this Hamsa that are reminiscent of the countries it originated in. The Hamsa Hand is available in two sizes: Small: length:9.3 cm. (3.7 inch), width: 7.6cm. Iris Shemesh is an Israeli native who studied textile design before choosing to pursue fashion design, which she did, and continues to do, with much success. Her knowledge from her studies is utilized in producing striking pieces that combines a variety of materials which creates a three-dimensional effect. Iris draws her inspiration from the richly multi-cultural Israeli society to create unique pieces that successfully incorporate a variety of designs, materials and textures.
