This tasteful Hamsa pendant is not only beautiful, it is also a deeply meaningul piece. The pendant is part of the Adina Plastelina collection which are created using the centuries-old Millefiori process that is given a fresh twist with the use of modern Polymer Clay.
The piece is painstakingly handmade and is set on gold plated sterling silver- the gold plating prevents the sterling silver from tarnishing. The stunning turquoise color offsets the writing in the Hamsa beautifully.
The phrases in the Hamsa are the Priestly Blessing and the Shema Prayer. The Priestly Blessings are recited by the Priests in the Synagogue on Festivals in the Diaspora and on every Shabbat and Festival in Israel. The Blessings bring down G-d's Presence and Protection upon His people. The Shema Blessing is the central prayer in Judiasm, taught to every Jewish child as soon as he can speak. It is recited three times a day by every observant Jew and speaks of belief in one G-d and our obligation to serve him with all our heart, soul and means.
Adina Plastelina was set up by Sami Leder and Adi Prahia and combines the Millefiori glasswork technique with Polymer Clay to produce irresistably fresh creations.
