This eye-catching Hamsa is brusting with color and vitality and was created by the Israeli Jewelry Designer Adina Plastelina. The intriguing design was achieved using the Millefiori process- a 3D sculpting technique. This handmade piece is made from Sterling Silver, plated in White Gold and is a magnificent finish for every outfit.
The Hamsa incorportates both the Priestly Blessing and the Shema Yisrael Prayer. The Priestly Blessing is recited on festivals in the Diaspora and on every Shabbat in Israel. G-d's Blessing is bestowed upon the people through the Priests. The Shema Prayer is the first prayer that every Jewish child learns, a declaration of belief in one G-d and a pledge of allegiance, these powerful words are recited thrice daily and are the words that accompany a person as he passes from this world to the next.
Adina Plastelina was born in the summer of 2004 to Sami Leder and Adi Prahia. Their joyfully colorful pieces are created using the Millefiori techinique, a glasswork technique that has been around for two-thousand years. The revival of this technique through use of Polymer Clay by Adina Plastelina artists creates lovable, individual pieces that stand out in their vitality and originality.
