This sparkling Wall Hamsa by designer Ester Shahaf will add much beauty to any house. The Hamsa is already a universal symbol, but it originated in the Middle-East, where it was believed that it wards off the Evil Eye. Shahaf successfully combines western and eastern influences, using western Swarovski crystals and copper applique to adorn the eastern Hamsa Hand, resulting in a delightful piece that is both symbolic and eye-catching.
This Hamsa Hand measures a full 12.5 cm (4.9 in) long by 8 cm (3.1 in) wide: the size of an actual small hand!
Ester Shahaf graduated from Tel Aviv University in theater and costume design. Her hand-crafted pieces of art are majestic fusions of worlds that reflect the Israeli reality. Shahaf's pieces are displayed and sold world-wide.
